The Research Center for Conservation of Cultural Relics (RCCCR) is based on the solid artistic and humanistic literacy of the Department of Fine Arts, coupled with the superior resources of National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) as a comprehensive university, and integrates across-fields experts in science and engineering and digital information. In addition to practical techniques, the center also attaches equal importance to scientific examination, materials analysis, research, and development.
Professional Conservation Team and Talents Gestation
RCCCR introduce the concept of cultural relics preservation from UNESCO, follow the international conservation codes of ethics, establish a first-class modern and professional conservation center in Taiwan, and become an important platform for the exchanges of professional experience of Asian cultural relics. We will continue to inherit the novel concept of cultural relics preservation and conservation and cultivate professional talents through educational programs such as the cultural relics conservation credit program which is set up cooperating with of the Bureau of Cultural Heritage, Ministry of Culture and the graduate programs of conservation science and techniques.

It protects all the precious relics and artworks that comes to the center, so that the life of them can be extended, utilized, and carry forward the mission of social education.
