Project of cultural relic conservation and scientific studies with a focus on cultivating female R&D talents
This proposal is a 3-year funding period to establish a collaborative research team in the fields of cultural relic conservation and scientific studies with a focus on cultivating female R&D talents. This combined with the present trend of interdisciplinary research within Fine Art and Material Analysis, Art History, Conservation Science and Practice make research which incorporates STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) research. These stages would train the young researchers and students to use our own standard instruments; including but not limited to, Fourier-transform Infrared spectrometers, Raman spectrometers, X-ray fluorescence spectrometers, Digital microscope cameras, and Electron microscope scanning and would establish a spectral database of oriental cultural relics. The proposed plan is highly practical, doable, and benefits both Taiwanese societies, as well as Asian culture, in line with the guidelines of SDGs in NTNU.
